How to ‘Wholistically’ Maximize Your Life

When talking health, I believe it’s best to see it through the lens of the best lifestyle choices to encourage a life full of vitality and longevity. Health is more than aesthetics, physiques and quick fixes. Health should be considered in the following manner: “How can I get the best out my mind, body, and soul”. This following question will set yourself up to start seeking opportunities to take more holistic approaches to your health. You will begin to find ways that will benefit the spiritual, mental and physical energetic bodies of your being. I believe this approach is the best way to maximize your time here on this beautiful planet.

Speaking from my own experience when I started my weight loss journey, this mindset of “I have to lose weight to look good” was initially the motive. Spending tons of hours everyday training to obtain a warrior like physique in the matter of days was doing more than putting strain on muscle groups. I was ignoring the mental and spiritual parts of my essence that was leading into imbalance. Imbalance shows up many ways, mental fog, inability to perform to the best of your ability, fatigue, irritability, stiffness in muscles and joints etc. When these symptoms became prevalent in my daily life, I would wonder why when I’m at my fittest! This is when I started to ask myself the question of : “Am I truly training to be healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle or am I doing it out of ego and wanting to be notice?” This realization made me start looking into more ways to deepen my health journey. I started incorporating yoga for the mind and body, meditation for the soul, and breath work for the life force cultivation. I also started learning more about herbs and helping the body with its natural detoxification processes. This began to start to lift the vail of what HEALTH really means.

Before I get loss I’m story let me offer some view points that’ll start to alter the way you view health and your approach towards an healthier lifestyle.
We should all have task that serves the spiritual, mental, and physical aspect of our beings. Disregarding either one of these will set you on a path of imbalance. To serve your self wholly you have to be more intentional with every part of your body on both the mental, physical and spiritual planes .

Starting with the first task! “Find a Physical Win”. What does this mean? Find a task that requires you to challenge your temple. This stress towards your body is actually helping and ensures longevity! Bones, muscles and tendons strengthen. Brain cognition increases and metabolism increases. This is also a way to really go deep within your physical body and learn about detoxing rather it be through herbal medicine or extreme environments like heat/cold therapy. This task is also away to let off unhealthy stress and really let go of things that can upset your spirit. Physical task like exercise, vinyasa yoga, saunas, cold plunge, detoxing etc can all go into this category.

Next you need a mental task. This takes is focused on the mental aspect of your energetic body. Sound/frequency healing baths, meditation, working on a project or being creative all can go into this category. This task focuses on being absolute in your mind. Rather you are focus on creating or clearing your mind via meditation, this task need to be put in place to make sure your mental is in balance with your body and spirit. Without the mind the body is only willing. Meaning your body can only go as far as your mind will let it. So include a task that requires mental focus or decluttering and this will make you become more mentally sharp.

Lastly, and most importantly include a task that caters to your spiritual essence. Meditation, mantras, moments of stillness, and breath work are some of the few I include in my everyday practice to help me become more in touch with the soul. We are the soul not the body, we are temporarily in this body for this life time for a purpose specifically designed for you! The more you become in touch with the soul, the more you realize how in tune you actually are with the universe and how we are actually a part of the universe and not separate. I hugely encourage this over all other task because this task will connect you to a Source or purpose higher than yourself. You will start to take the world as it is and transcend the ‘desires’ that’s are programmed into your feminine mind. Diet plays a huge role in this task especially because if you are filled with dead food and flesh of animals you will be consumed with the vibrations of that food. It will be difficult to hear your inner nature! A diet holistic diet (majority being plants) followed with periods of fasting (abstaining from whole food) will make it easier to access your higher being.
